We have updated our marketplace and advertising pages as well as releasing the related information packs as PDFs. You can find these under the marketplace listing.
Earlier this fall we held a logo contest for Nishikaze. We were looking for a distinct logo that will represent our event to the world at large. We want to illustrate how anime and Japanese culture exist within Lethbridge.
The winning logo will be used on a variety of promotional material and our official event merchandise.
The winner receives admission to Nishikaze 2015 and $50 cash. The runner up receives admission to Nishikaze 2015 and $20 cash.

Design Logic: The design is based off of the kanji nishi 西, closing its corners and making it a half circle. The two stems represent Lethbridge, and it’s train tracks. The top represents the wind. The inside of the kanji represent Japan (symbolized by our AYAKO red) and the horizon of Alberta.

Announcements for 2015
We have two announcements for you today!
First, we are pleased to announce that Nishikaze will be returning to the University of Lethbridge on Saturday, June 13, 2015! Our theme for 2015 is Idols! Admission rates will remain at the same low price as last year (General [13+] $10, Youth [6-12] $5). Online ticket sales will start in January 2015.
Second, we have partnered with Otafest to introduce pin trading to Lethbridge! Nishikaze will be introducing a set of pins for their convention in 2015! But that doesn’t mean you will have to wait until June to get our pins! Nishikaze will be releasing a design in time for Otafest Aurora 2014! You can purchase our design from our Otafest Aurora 2014 booth or trade one of your Otafest pins for it! Whether you collect all the pins or only your favourites, you will have more opportunities to meet new people and have fun!
